SAN Technician
We have a unique opportunity for you to demonstrate and expand your technical skills. If you are chosen to join our team, you will be given the chance to absolutely shine. This position requires an intelligent, energetic person with a positive attitude who can work in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to go beyond what they think they can do.
You will be given an eclectic set of responsibilities including:
• Integration of system boards, processors, storage, etc. into iSCSI or Fibre Channel systems
• Testing various storage-related hardware/software components in a lab environment
• Researching and learning new, applicable technologies
• Assisting with the creation of technical documentation
You should have a strong understanding of several of the following topics, as well as a desire to know way more about all of them:
• Current system boards, processors, storage and RAID controllers
• Gigabit and 10Gb Ethernet Networking
• Experience with Mac OS X, Linux and Windows XP/2000 Server/Vista
• Knowledge of pro DAW/NLE applications (Final Cut Pro, Avid, Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere Pro…)
• Fibre Channel or IP SAN Design/Architecture, Configuration and Installation
In addition, you must have the following characteristics:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Highly motivated
• Team Player with exceptional customer service skills
• Willingness to travel (domestic and international)
• Exceptional attitude
