SNS Hosts 1st Annual Hard Drive Toss Contest at NAB 2005

Prizes Include 17” PowerBook, iBook, U2 iPod

Las Vegas, Nevada, April 18, 2005 — Studio Network Solutions (SNS) will host The First Annual Hard Drive Toss Contest from noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 19th in the outdoor Mobile Media area between South and Central Halls. The contest winners will receive one of three prizes, including a 17″ Powerbook, an iBook and finally, a U2 iPod. While the goal of the event is to campaign the latest workflow design software in development by SNS, the contest seeks to demonstrate that without the proper storage technology a person might as well “toss their hard drive in the garbage.”

Participants will be asked to toss a traditional hard drive into a garbage can that will be placed at a pre-determined length from the tossing line. The contest will test the arm strength and accuracy of attendees while providing some relief from the stresses caused by a tradeshow environment.

“NAB is a highly anticipated show for SNS and we are looking forward to the Hard Drive Toss being an extremely fun way to bring attention to our new software products,” stated Eric Newbauer, Director of Operations at SNS. “The Hard Drive Toss Contest derived from a similar event that SNS sponsors at reseller locations worldwide. Bringing this contest to NAB is a great opportunity to have some fun with attendees as they move from one hall to the next.”

SNS expects The Hard Drive Toss Contest to become a popular, annual fixture at future NAB shows. For more information, please visit SNS at booth #SL3331 or go to the Mobile Media area and toss a hard drive for yourself!
