- More reasons to love your workflow
From faster storage to smarter on-premise AI, here’s everything you’ll see at SNS Stand 7.B22 at IBC 2026, September 11–14 in Amsterdam.
MORE PERFORMANCE

EVO shared storage is up to 40% faster
Blazing fast just got faster.
The latest EVO OS update increases aggregate throughput by up to 40% on select SSD-powered EVO 8 Bay and EVO 16 Bay systems.
The performance gains are the result of further OS-level tuning and system memory optimization. This enables faster read/write performance using less processing power, which in turn leaves more headroom for background automations and multi-editor 4K workflows to run simultaneously.
These enhancements are currently shipping on new EVO systems and are available as a free upgrade for eligible systems running EVO OS v.7.1.0.

AI Suite Advanced enters the chat
AI Suite Advanced is a new tier of the SNS AI Suite, adding natural language chat and agentic capabilities to on-premise media AI. The update also brings a refreshed AI Suite logo and a dark-themed interface, bringing it in line with the rest of the SNS ecosystem.
The existing AI Suite already helps teams understand their media through transcription, translation, AI-generated summaries, semantic search, and more, featuring a dozen AI models that work together to provide a deeper understanding of your media library.
AI Suite Advanced goes a step further. Teams can ask a question—like where the emotional moments are in the clip—and get an answer specifically in context. Taking that another step further, you can describe a task in plain language and let the system carry it out. Instead of just finding footage that matches a set of criteria, it can assemble an EDL from the matching clips on its own, or execute tasks as an AI agent working alongside your team.
Both AI Suite and AI Suite Advanced are available as one-time perpetual licenses with unlimited AI processing hours, and all processing happens on-premise, so proprietary media never has to leave the building.

EVO is validated with Avid® Media Composer® 2026.8
At SNS, we believe editors should be able to create in whichever NLE they choose, update after update. So when Avid announced a major change to third-party storage compatibility in Media Composer 2026.8, we got to work making sure our users’ workflows would remain intact. We can now say that EVO is fully validated for use with Media Composer 2026.8 Enterprise—collaborative shared projects, bin locking, all of it.

SNS was part of an exclusive group of vendors selected for beta testing ahead of the public release. Both SNS and Avid’s product team confirm the workflow performs exactly as it should.
But we didn’t stop at validation. We’re also building new training resources for Media Composer users, launching soon in both Avid Learning Central and the SNS Training Academy. And for teams required to upgrade their Avid license to access shared projects and bin locking in Media Composer 2026.8, SNS is offering an exclusive discount on new EVO systems to help offset the upgrade cost. Contact SNS or your authorized SNS reseller to get a custom EVO quote today.
Transcode Accelerator supports Windows and Mac
Transcode Accelerator, EVO’s orchestration engine for proxy generation, now supports Windows workstations in addition to Mac. Creative teams can pool processing power across multiple EVO servers and Mac or Windows workstations running Adobe® Media Encoder®, so proxy generation and transcoding get done by the team’s combined hardware instead of waiting on one machine to complete tasks sequentially. The new Windows compatibility helps creative teams get more use out of existing resources in their facility.

MORE CONVENIENCE
Customize your metadata
ShareBrowser Admin, where teams create and manage their custom metadata template, is now a convenient EVO plug-in. Available where system admins already access EVO, the plug-in now offers added control over field order when building out a custom template.
Custom metadata is one of the most valuable tools in a media manager’s toolkit, offering a prescribed schema specific to your organization on what fields matter. A podcast library may need fields for season, episode, and date. A university athletics department may organize by semester, sport, opponent, content type, and home vs. away. The more specific the metadata structure, the faster and more precise the search results. The ShareBrowser Admin plug-in on EVO allows you to customize your metadata fields however you want.
Free EVO system admin and ShareBrowser training
SNS Training Academy is expanding! The free, online learning experience now features a new EVO System Administration course, offering a deep dive resource for those managing EVO systems day to day.
The academy also includes free video courses on shared storage basics and ShareBrowser media management for both beginners and advanced users. Captions for all videos are now available in English, Spanish, French, and several additional languages. Join the free SNS Training Academy today.

Trio brings calmness to the cloud
Trio, SNS’s cloud backup and archive solution, isn’t undergoing a major change at IBC this year. And that’s by design.
We’ve seen cloud providers adding hidden fees, deprecating features, and changing their terms a lot lately. Rather than add to the chaos, we’re keeping Trio intentionally consistent. Trio remains the dependable, secure, S3-compatible cloud object storage for backup, archive, and disaster recovery.
More Reasons To Love Your Workflow

At IBC 2026, SNS is bringing more performance, more compatibility, more convenience, and more flexibility to the workflows teams rely on every day. Faster EVO systems, smarter on-premise AI, easier collaboration, and more ways to move, manage, and protect media without adding unnecessary fees or artificial limits.
That means no per-seat licensing, no AI credits or tokens, and no limits on review links and projects. Because when your workflow is unlimited, your team can do anything.
If your workflow could be faster, easier, smarter, or simply less frustrating, come see what’s possible. Visit SNS Stand 7.B22 at IBC 2026, September 11–14 in Amsterdam, to see the latest updates in action. Book a demo today.
