SNS Introduces enhanced EVO integration with Adobe Creative Cloud

SNS EVO ShareBrowser Client Update Provides Metadata Export and Cloud Integration for Latest Release of Adobe Creative Cloud

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, IBC Conference, Hall 7, Stand 7.J05 (September 12, 2014)–Studio Network Solutions (SNS), manufacturer of shared storage solutions for film, video, VFX, graphic animation and audio workgroups, today announced new integrations for Adobe(R) Creative Cloud(R) users with EVO ShareBrowser. New features provided increased portability of custom metadata tags in ShareBrowser and a dedicated workspace for Adobe Creative Cloud user storage.

EVO is a complete shared media storage server that includes ShareBrowser project/asset management functionality, workspace resizing, and storage scalability for production teams of any size. The “All in One Box” EVO system combines a 4K-ready high-performance storage array with extensive connectivity options including 10Gb Ethernet and 16Gb Fibre Channel. EVO Prodigy, the newest introduction to the EVO lineup, is a robust 1U compact shared storage server that doubles as a workflow appliance allowing the addition of easy-to-use asset management, and Project and Bin sharing to existing NAS/SAN infrastructures. Adobe Creative Cloud includes the most up-to-date versions of favorite Adobe desktop apps such as Adobe Premiere(R) Pro CC, Photoshop(R) CC, After Effects(R) CC, Illustrator(R) CC, and more.

“Integration with shared storage providers like SNS are crucial to the success of Adobe Creative Cloud,” said Simon Williams, director of strategic relations at Adobe. “As a trusted provider of SAN/NAS solutions for collaborative workgroups, SNS’ expertise and knowledge helps empower and support video creatives expanding their horizons with 4K, 5K, and 6K workflows.”

ShareBrowser is a unified file/project/asset management interface for OS X and Windows. It ties storage and project/media management into a single comprehensive window, and enables teams to search across all EVO storage as well as local, offline, and other network disks. File metadata can be instantly indexed to the database, and users can more easily find, preview, and share media assets and projects allowing content creators to collaborate more efficiently. Together, EVO and ShareBrowser provide high performance shared storage, user-driven project sharing, and asset management for Adobe Creative Cloud.

“The new features and improvements to Adobe Creative Cloud are exciting for SNS,” stated Ryan Stoutenborough, President, SNS. “Our automatic project locking for Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects(R), Adobe SpeedGrade(R) and other apps enables media professionals to be more collaborative without worrying about the security of their project files. With our added support for XML and a Cloud storage workspace, SNS is striving to improve the collaborative creativity that EVO with ShareBrowser and Adobe Creative Cloud provide.”

New Features Include:

  • 3rd Party Cloud Integration support for Adobe Creative Cloud user storage. This feature maps a user’s Adobe Creative Cloud cloud storage as a workspace in ShareBrowser, providing greater visibility for files shared through the cloud.
  • Added support for XML export of metadata from ShareBrowser, allows users to tag their files and bring that media into Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
  • SNS ShareBrowser Client update with support for Adobe Creative Cloud.

EVO Shared Storage Server can be ordered in 4 bay, 8 bay, and 16 bay expandable configurations. ShareBrowser is included with every new EVO server. Contact SNS for pricing and information, 314-733-0551.
