Studio Network Solutions Announces ShareBrowser Extension for Adobe After Effects

Studio Network Solutions’ easy-to-use media asset management application will give Adobe® After Effects® CC artists the ability to search, preview, tag, comment, and import media from shared storage without leaving their Adobe After Effects CC workspace.

Studio Network Solutions’ easy-to-use media asset management application will give Adobe After Effects artists the ability to search, preview, tag, comment, and import media from shared storage without leaving their Adobe After Effects workspace.

St. Louis, MO – April 3rd, 2019 – Studio Network Solutions (SNS), a leading media technology company that enables video teams to securely store, share, and organize media, today announced an upcoming ShareBrowser media asset management extension for Adobe® After Effects®, part of Adobe Creative Cloud®.

The ShareBrowser extension for Adobe After Effects included with EVO will give motion graphics artists better ways to interact with their media, and collaborate with their team. The extension will provide Adobe After Effects artists the ability to:

  • Organize media with custom metadata tags and comments
  • Create ShareBrowser bins in Premiere Pro and share them with After Effects artists
  • Drag and drop shots that need VFX or graphics directly from shared storage into After Effects
  • Quickly find and preview media with powerful search tools and proxy previews
  • Browse their storage system from After Effects and mount offline volumes with a single click

ShareBrowser is an easy-to-use media asset management app that gives video teams the ability to organize their files with custom tags and comments, search and preview media, organize clips into bins, and import their media and metadata into various production applications.

“We built ShareBrowser to make media asset management intuitive,” said Matt Ratkowski, ShareBrowser Product Manager at Studio Network Solutions. “One of the ways we do that is by making it integrate seamlessly with other tools creative teams already use. The Adobe extension architecture gives us the ability to bring a more powerful media browsing and media management experience to your timeline in a way that fits naturally into your workflow.”

“Creatives want to work as efficiently as possible, and ShareBrowser’s extension for After Effects enables them to do just that,” said Sue Skimore, head of partners relations for Adobe video. “Motion graphics artists will now be able to collaborate with their teams and interact with their media in new streamlined ways.”

Instead of using email, Dropbox, or copying files back and forth from external drives, teams of editors and motion graphics artists can collaborate around a centralized media library. When an Adobe Premiere Pro editor needs to share a selection of shots that need VFX, they can create a bin from the ShareBrowser extension, add notes, and share in just a few clicks without ever leaving the timeline.

In organizations with multiple collaborators who aren’t directly involved in creative editorial, ShareBrowser can be used as a standalone desktop or HTML5 web app, so that everyone can easily find, organize, and share media. Assistants, producers, and other team members can use ShareBrowser to log clips, make selects, and manage stored media and projects.

Like the extension for Adobe Premiere Pro, the extension for After Effects is free for ShareBrowser users. Unlimited licenses of ShareBrowser are included with every EVO Shared Storage system. Visitors to NAB 2019 can meet Studio Network Solutions for a personalized demonstration of ShareBrowser, EVO, and more at booth #SL3305 in South Lower Hall in the Las Vegas Convention Center on April 8-11th.
